Watts Bar Lake Dam Operations – December 3, 2012

The lake is about at winter pool. If you have not given any thought to your dock maintenance plan, now would be a good time to do it. Take advantage of the lake level to do an inspection of the dock supports and other components. With more of the dock exposed, getting to some of the areas that are not accessible during summer pool will help preserve the longevity of your dock.

Out on the lake, be sure to remember that the low water will expose hazards normally not of a concern while at summer pool. winter boating on the lake can be fun but be sure to use caution in the coves and other areas where shallow water will be present.
